The Nantucket Bay scallop is the renowned favorite of the sweeter and smaller bay scallops - a real delicacy. Nantucket Bays tend to be a bit bigger than other bay scallops. These are fresh caught, but subject to the vagaries of the weather In Nantucket Sound; these fresh treats are the best available.
The season is short and affected by the weather in Nantucket. This years scallops are much smaller than normal years.
