Sauces are important in all styles of cooking, but the southern food has some very unique styles and combinations to try.

1. Tidewater Shrimp Sauce and Marinade

Born out of the desire to replicate traditional New Orleans barbecued shrimp at home, Jimmy Hagood developed this one-of-a-kind sauce that will have your guests cleaning their plates and asking for more! The piquant sauce – a mixture of oils, pepper and bold spices – produces the finest baked shrimp east of the Mississippi. Simply add a stick of melted butter to the Tidewater Shrimp Sauce & Marinade, pour over fresh shrimp and bake for 30 minutes. Serve the baked shrimp with crusty bread for sopping up the sauce because your guests won’t want to miss a drop. For a carnivore’s feast, simply marinate wild game, chicken or beef in Tidewater Shrimp Sauce & Marinade before tossing it on the grill. In a hurry?? Sauté shrimp or chicken in Tidewater Shrimp Sauce & Marinade straight from the bottle and serve over stoneground grits – supper’s on the table in less than 20 minutes.

2. Farm and Field marinade for domestic and wild foods

Our Farm & Field Marinade is hand crafted to be your go to marinade for everything from the farm and field including wild game and not-so-wild chicken, beef, pork, and fresh vegetables. Our proprietary blend of spices, including rosemary, basil, garlic, molasses and soy sauce will tenderize and flavor your favorite grilled dish.

Recipe:  Marinate cuts of chicken, pork, beef, venison, duck or quail for 2 hours, up to overnight, and grill, broil or sauté as desired.

3. Blackjack Barbeque Dry Rub

Loaded with spices including pepper, chili powder, paprika and oregano the Dry Rub tenderizes meat before cooking and creates a delicious “mahogany bark” on your finished product. Sprinkle or rub this mixture on pork, chicken, beef or ribs before grilling.

4. Blackjack Barbeque Rib Rub

The Rib Rub is specially formulated to maximize flavors in your pork or beef ribs while caramelizing to create a delicious “bark.”  Rub or sprinkle liberally onto ribs before grilling or baking.  Excellent for beef jerky, too!

5.  Peach Hot Sauce

Jimmy Hagood refers to the hot sauce as the "slow burn peach hot sauce". Classic sweet and hot combination.
